A piece of evidence that correlates with the continental drift is the fossil of a Mesosaurus this is an ancient reptile that lives only in freshwater. This reptiles fossils has only yet to be found in 2 places; the eastern coast of south American, and western coast of Africa. The continental drift theory was greatly thought of to be the only possible outcome for the fossils to have this pattern. The only other possible theory was that if the reptile was able to fly, which it cannot.
